P5/6/7 had the pleasure of a visit from Shelagh Roberts today. She is a member of the Kilbroney Parish Church and is involved in the WW1 commemoration. Shelagh brought in a number of memorabilia from WW1 including helmet, cap, medals, widow's medal, bully (corned) beef and bomb shell cases. The children were very excited to actually be able to hold these items and it brought the reality of WW1 much closer to home.
