A Royal Visit to Killowen
While pupils in other schools were unpacking their break and getting ready for snacktime, the pupils of Killowen Primary School were out in the yard waiting for Princess Anne's helicopter to land on the Ballyedmond Estate.
The pupils were excited to see a real-life Princess as her motorcade made its way to the Mourne Weavers next door.
The excitement levels raised even further when staff from the Northern Ireland Office invited the staff and pupils over to greet Princess Anne and see her off as she made her way on to Bangor for her next official visit.
The Police Service were as kind and welcoming as ever and made our pupils feel very special, even letting one or two privileged pupils try out their motorbikes! (Parked and switched off, of course, responsible motorists in the making!)
Many thanks to all involved in giving our pupils a memorable Wednesday morning!
