Activity Based Learning
Hi Parents and visitors!
Just a little update to give you a little look at the sorts of things we get up to in Activity Based Learning time.
We've got a brand new construction set and have been creating all sorts of weird and wonderful structures with it, from "Big Ben" -complete with clock face and bricks- to flying machines, fully kitted out with cushions for comfort! Spencer the bear and his penguin friend had an exciting trip in the flying machine!
As you can see we have not only mastered the art of using the "Colour magic" program using the Interactive Whiteboard and the mouse, but we've also learned how to print out our work and discuss it with friends!
Meanwhile, at the creative area, we ran out of people templates to design clothes for but that hasn't stopped us! One genius pupil started to use her "used" design as a template to trace around and create more outlines. What a problem solver!
We hope you've enjoyed these little snaps of us. We'll try to remember to snap ourselves more often, it will be much easier now that we have our brand spanking new iPad. We're all very excited about using it but we also understand that 'turn-taking' is very important and have gotten very good at waiting and sharing.
More coming soon!
