Ancient Greek Pottery
25th Apr 2022
Within our Ancient Greek topic, we have learned that Greek pots are interesting not only for their shape, but for the evidence of everyday life painted on them. The designs on these pots told a story. Some told stories of daily life and others told stories of wars and heroes. In P4/5 we decided to create our own pots using air drying clay. We moulded the clay into the shape of pot we wanted and then used cocktail sticks to create a picture and pattern on the pots. Some of the clay dried quite quickly on our hands and made them feel like "cement" as described by Noah D. The pots turned out beautifully and will now take pride of place within our classroom.
