To celebrate St. Brigid’s Day we explored rushes and attempted to make our own crosses. We also created Brigid’s cloak through a hands on experience with wet felting. After choosing different colours of wool and layering them, the children used a spray bottle to add warm, soapy water. They gently rubbed and observed how the wool changed, becoming firmer. They were amazed to see the transformation. Each child’s piece of work has been joined together and displayed proudly in our classroom.
