This week at Cookery Club, our young chefs had a fantastic time making Rice Krispie buns! While having lots of fun, they also developed a range of important skills through interconnected learning across the curriculum.
The children practiced measuring ingredients, counting spoonfuls, and understanding simple ratios when mixing. They followed a recipe, developed their comprehension skills, and had opportunities to use their talking and listening skills. It was very interesting watching the changes in the chocolate and the children learned about the importance of hygiene and safety in the kitchen.
It was a hands on, engaging experience that combined learning with creativity. Well done to all our little bakers! 🍫🥣
