Earthquake Experts

Mrs Cunningham's class have been investigating building structures that could possibly withstand earthquakes. With a combination of cocktail sticks, mini marshmallows and jelly, the children tried and tested their ideas. They were able to determine that those structures that were lower in height, had a wider base and with extra reinforcement were more capable of withstanding earthquake waves. The best bit of all......??.... eating the jelly and marshmallows afterwards!!
