Exploring Static Electricity in Science Club
18th Nov 2024
This week in Science Club, our young scientists had an electrifying experience learning all about static electricity! Using everyday items like balloons and plastic rulers, they discovered how rubbing objects together creates an invisible force that can make some amazing things happen. The children were delighted as they made their hair stand up, lifted tiny pieces of paper with a charged balloon and moved paper cutouts using only a ruler and the power of static electricity – no hands needed!
It’s always a joy to see their excitement as science comes to life through hands on activities!
