KILLOWEN CARES
Killowen Primary School pupils were very excited to see their postman Jim arrive at the door this week with a very special delivery for every boy and girl who have been home-schooling since Christmas. The mystery parcels were labelled Killowen Cares and contained a well-being pack full of caring messages and mood-boosting activities as well as toys, treats and treasures. The whole purpose of the gesture was to let the children know that they are very much missed, and certainly not forgotten, during Lockdown.
Then to put the cherry on top, the Parent Support Group did a drive-by doorstep delivery of a little token of sweet, sweet, love for Valentine's Day, proving beyond on doubt that Killowen Primary School is the little school with the big heart.
It’s safe to say that there were many, happy homes in Killowen this week as the little learners finally reaped the rewards of staying home and staying safe.
