KS2 learn about Maori culture
1st Mar 2019
Ks2 children had the pleasure of a visit from Ms Vos and Ms Turnbull on Wednesday morning, along with Jared who was visiting Ireland from Perth, Western Australia. Jared spoke to the children about his ongoing work with refugees and gave the children an insight into life as a refugee. The children then learned about Maori culture, were shown some artefacts from New Zealand and were given the opportunity to make a Maori mask. They ended this insightful workshop by learning The Ka Mate Haka dance. Primary 5/6/7 wish to thank Ms Vos, Ms Turnbull and Jared for this wonderful opportunity.
