Recently Reception and Primary 1 made their own vegetable soup. They helped to wash, peel, and chop the vegetables, developing their fine motor skills and their understanding of wholes and halves. Once everything was ready, the ingredients were added to a big pot and boiled whilst the children discussed what changes would happen to the vegetables. Finally, it was time for the best part—tasting! The children eagerly sampled their homemade soup, with many discovering new flavours they loved. Some even asked for seconds! It was great to see so many children tasting their healthy soup.
