What a wonderful day the children from Primary 4 - 7 had at Navan Fort alongside our two other schools Grange PS, Kilkeel and St Nicholas National School, Dundalk as part of our Shared Education program. We participated in a series of interesting workshops where the children were given the opportunity to create their own jewellery, meet some old irish warriors, study artefacts and see what life was like a long time ago.
Due to the brave nature of the children of Killowen PS Rostrevor, it was fair to say that they enjoyed meeting the warriors and using all of the different types of weapons to compete against each other. Who knew that we had such talented Javelin and spear throwers in our school?
A wonderful day had by all.
