Science Club Sets Sail with Floating and Sinking Experiments
Our Science Club recently had a fantastic time exploring floating and sinking! Through hands on experiments and creative boat building, our young scientists investigated why some objects stay afloat while others sink.
To begin, the children tested a variety of materials in water, predicting whether each item would float or sink before dropping it in. They observed how shape, size, and material affected buoyancy and discussed their discoveries. Next, they put their knowledge to the test by designing and building their own boats! Using materials such as foil, paper, and plastic, they carefully constructed their vessels.
Science club encourages the younger pupils in our school to problem solve, test their ideas, and work together to understand important scientific principles. Keep up the great work!
