Today the Primary 5, 6 and 7 classes attended an Art workshop in Grange with Stickey Fingers as part of our Shared Education program. We were placed in mixed groups with the two other schools; Grange PS Kilkeel and St Nicholas' Dundalk. Jim Russell, the artist set tasks for the children including building shelters and huts with straw and natural materials, weaving fabric to create dolls, forming pyramids with cardboard and working as part of a team. All of the workshops were based on the shared topic of "Ancient civilisations" that the three schools have been studying since September. We had a fantastic day along with our partner schools and learnt a lot about life in early times.
