Spring Term Fun in Reception/P1
What a wonderful term it has been in Reception/P1, full of creativity, discovery and play!
The children have loved exploring a range of new experiences this term. We’ve been getting creative with observational drawing, looking closely at spring flowers and using water paints to bring our artwork to life. The children have loved outdoor play, with lots of gardening taking place. They have enjoyed digging, planting seeds and learning how to care for the plants as they grow – a perfect way to explore the changes that spring brings. We also learned about new life during spring and had a special visit from two lambs. Another big hit this term has been our new construction blocks. These have inspired some amazing building projects, encouraging teamwork, problem-solving and imaginative thinking as the children planned and created their own structures. And that’s just the beginning. From role play and storytelling to sensory play and mark-making, every day has been packed with rich, purposeful play that supports learning across all areas of the curriculum.
Well done, Reception/P1 – we’re so proud of all you’ve achieved this term!
